SUPPORTING YOUNG PEOPLE INTO BETTER FUTURES

STEPUP 16+: WHO ARE WE?

Step Up 16+ Ltd provides a Supported Living Accommodation Service for young people leaving the looked after care service or those who find themselves unable to remain at their current family home, biological or foster placement.

Placements can be coupled with other social services, such as job training, life skills training, education and prevention programs and case management to people in need of assistance, including people with a mild learning disability.

All referrals will be fully assessed, with input from the client/young person and professionals, to ensure that the placement is a pragmatic and effective solution for the client, whilst reducing the overall cost of care. A completed Pathway Plan will need to accompany any referrals, are subject to a completed risk assessment and matching where other young people are already in placement.
